Bilgin Defterli — Biography
Bilgin Defterli was born on November 1, 1980, in Erzurum. Despite her short stature (1.60 m), she stood out for her athletic play as a forward, representing the Turkey women's national football team from 1999 to 2014 and serving as its captain for a period.
During her career she played for German clubs including 1. FC Köln, FSV Frankfurt and Alemannia Aachen, earning respect in Germany's amateur leagues as well. After retiring as a player, she moved into coaching, taking up a position with Türkspor Dortmund.
