Bilal Kısa — Biography
Bilal Kısa was born on June 22, 1983, in the Merzifon district of Amasya. Standing 1.80 m, the central midfielder was known for his game intelligence and passing range, earning him the nickname "Pirlo Bilal" in the Turkish press, a nod to Italian playmaker Andrea Pirlo.
Over his professional career he played for clubs including Ankaraspor, Galatasaray, Akhisar Belediyespor, Ankaragücü, Karabükspor, Fenerbahçe and Malatyaspor, and after representing Turkey at various youth levels, he earned senior national team caps between 2006 and 2014.
After retiring as a player, Kısa moved into coaching. He was in charge of Menemen FK in early 2026, left that post in March 2026, and was appointed manager of Kahramanmaraş İstiklalspor that same month.
