Berkay Tulumbacı — Biography

Berkay Tulumbacı was born on 8 June 1991 in Famagusta, Northern Cyprus; after high school at Istanbul's Levent Koleji, he graduated from Anadolu University's State Conservatory theatre department in Eskişehir in 2011 and settled in Istanbul to act professionally.

On stage he began in the 2011-2012 season with the Istanbul State Theatre's At, Çocuktan Al Haberi and Açıl Kafam Açıl, and Çocuktan Al Haberi won him Best Actor of the Year at the Direklerarası Audience Awards; between 2013 and 2018 he staged the one-man play İkinci Dereceden İşsizlik Yanığı 500 times, earning the Young Talent prize at the Direklerarası Theatre Awards and Best Actor at the Ekin Yazın Dostları Theatre Awards. On screen he debuted as Er Ercüment Yılmaz in TRT1's Sakarya Fırat, then played Berkant in Kara Ekmek, Barbaros Gürkan in Ateş Böceği and Selim in Kocaman Ailem; since 2019 he has drawn wide recognition as Ozan on BKM's Güldür Güldür Show, touring with the cast across Europe, the United States and Canada. He also appeared in BluTV's Bizden Olur Mu? and Exxen's Sizi Dinliyorum, and in 2025 played the late Kemal Sunal in Çağan Irmak's film Adile. A recording artist since 2019, he married musician Ezgi Gergin on 18 June 2023.
