Berk Uğurlu — Biography

Berk İbrahim Uğurlu is a Turkish basketball player born on 27 April 1996 in the Şişli district of Istanbul. Standing 1.92 m tall, he plays the point guard position and, after attending Sainte-Pulchérie French High School, has gone on to represent the Turkish national basketball team internationally.

Uğurlu began his career in Fenerbahçe's youth system and turned professional in 2012. Over five seasons with the club he won three Basketbol Süper Ligi titles (2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17), two Turkish Cups and two Presidential Cups, and was part of the squad that captured the EuroLeague championship in 2017. He subsequently spent two seasons at Karşıyaka and four at Tofaş.

In 2023 he joined Beşiktaş under head coach Dušan Alimpijević, and the club has enjoyed a steady rise since: a semifinal run across three competitions in 2023-24, finals in the Basketbol Süper Ligi and Turkish Cup in 2024-25, and finals in four competitions — including the EuroCup — the following season. In July 2026, Uğurlu signed a new contract to continue his career at Beşiktaş.
