Ben Fero

Ben Fero — Biography

Ben Fero, whose real name is Ferhat Yılmaz, is one of the younger rappers who quickly drew the attention of Turkish rap listeners after 2018. In July 2026 he returned to the headlines after a long absence when a photo of him appeared on social media.

Born in Germany, he moved with his family to İzmir at a young age; he discovered rap at eight by listening to Tupac Shakur, and for a time he also played amateur basketball. While working as a sales manager at a private company he released his first song, Mahallemiz Esmer, in April 2018, and after Kimlerdensin in August he left the job to focus on music. 3 2 1, released on 30 November 2018, became the most-listened song on Spotify Turkey two days later. All the songs of his first album, Orman Kanunları (February 2019), ranked in the top twelve of the Spotify Türkiye Top 50 on release day, making him the first artist to place a whole album on that chart. Biladerim İçin from the album stayed at the top for weeks, and he shot the video for the song Demet Akalın together with the singer Demet Akalın herself.

That year he teamed up with Killa Hakan, Ceza and Ezhel on Fight Kulüp and won Best Newcomer at the 16th Radio Boğaziçi Music Awards. In September 2020 he released the five-song EP Yabani, and he has made joint tracks with Maho G, Cash Flow and Gringo. After about a year of silence he came back in 2022 with Bunlar Anlamaz, followed by Ney Lan, Bitmiyor and, in 2025, Zor Değil.
