Begüm Kütük — Biography

Begüm Kütük was born on 27 August 1980 in the Konak district of İzmir. After high school she began studying cultural mediation and communication at the University of Nancy in France, but left the program before finishing and returned to Turkey. In 2001 she placed third in the Best Model of Turkey contest, which launched her modeling career.

She moved into acting in the early 2000s with the series Melek, and her breakthrough came with a role in Kurtlar Vadisi (Valley of the Wolves). She went on to appear in numerous television series, including Kaderimin Yazıldığı Gün, Yalan Dünya, Gönülçelen, Uygun Adım Aşk, Canım Ailem and Hayat Güzeldir, and played the character Ece in the 2010 film Romantik Komedi.

She joined the cast of Çalıkuşu in 2013, and in 2017 played Aylin in the Kanal D series Sevdanın Bahçesi, whose lead roles were shared by Sibel Can and Emre Kınay. Kütük is married to cartoonist Erdil Yaşaroğlu, and more recently returned to the stage alongside Gamze Süner Atay in the play Terapi.
