Bedri Baykam — Biography
Bedri Baykam (born 26 April 1957 in Ankara) is a Turkish painter, writer and politician who has also occasionally worked as an actor.
He studied at the University of Paris and at the California College of the Arts. Alongside his career as a painter he worked as a columnist and filmmaker and appeared as an actor in the 1995 film Bay E.
Baykam continues to exhibit internationally: his Picasso-themed exhibition opened in Istanbul in 2026 after being shown in Paris, and his works were also presented at CI Bloom and in Ayvalık that year. He writes regular columns for the newspaper Cumhuriyet.
