Barış Memiş — Biography

Barış Memiş was born on 5 January 1990 in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon. Standing 1.67 metres tall, he played as an attacking midfielder/winger throughout his career and represented Turkey at U17, U19 and U21 level. He began his club career with 1461 Trabzon and Trabzonspor before later turning out for clubs such as Kayseri Erciyesspor, Karşıyaka and Sarıyer.

In 2011 he received a two-year ban for using a banned substance. In a 2023 interview he spoke about his time at Trabzonspor and his relationship with manager Şenol Güneş, and local media reported in 2024 that he had left one club and joined a new team.
