Bahtiyar Yorulmaz — Biography

Bahtiyar Yorulmaz was born on 12 August 1955 in Denizli and became known as "Deli Bahtiyar" (Crazy Bahtiyar) for his fiery temperament on the pitch. Playing as a forward, he was particularly admired for his heading ability.

Over his career he played for Eskişehirspor, Fenerbahçe, Bursaspor, Boluspor and Denizlispor, and also represented the Turkey national team. In the 1979-80 season he scored 12 goals in 30 matches for Bursaspor to finish as joint top scorer of the league alongside Mustafa Denizli, then of Altay, one of the lowest-scoring tallies ever to top the table in that era. In 1983 he helped Fenerbahçe win the Süper Lig title.

After retiring from football he remained in his hometown of Denizli, and in 2021 he put himself forward as a candidate for the Denizlispor club presidency.
