Bahri Kaya — Biography

Bahri Kaya was born on 10 June 1957 in Trabzon. A former forward, he played in the 1970s and 1980s for Gedikpaşa, Fenerbahçe and Sakaryaspor, then professionally for İskenderunspor, Babaeskispor, Vefa, Gaziosmanpaşaspor and Bakırköy Yücespor. In Turkey he is mostly remembered as one of Fenerbahçe's former players.

As a manager he worked with clubs including Zeytinburnuspor, Gaziosmanpaşa, Diyarbakırspor, Adanaspor, Etimesgut Şekerspor, Giresunspor, Kocaelispor and Orduspor. He came to Orduspor in 2007-08 and to Giresunspor in the seventh week of the 2010-11 season. He took Zeytinburnuspor (1995-96) and Adanaspor (2001-02) up to the Süper Lig, each time as third-placed 1. Lig sides, and also led Giresunspor, Gaziosmanpaşa and Şekerspor up to the second tier. He took charge of Diyarbakırspor in 2006 and Şanlıurfaspor in 2012-13, and worked at Sarıyer in 2014-15.

In December 2018 he became Uşakspor's new manager. He later coached Çorumspor, resigning in August 2019 according to press reports; in February 2020 the Çorum press announced his return to the team. In 2008 he had also been mentioned for the vacant Antalyaspor job.
