Bahar Güvenç — Biography

Bahar Güvenç is a women's footballer who plays in defence and has spent most of her career with the club of her home city, Antalya. She helped the team back from the second tier to the top flight, captained the side, and has represented Turkey at under-17, under-19 and senior level. She currently wears number 3 for 1207 Antalyaspor.

She obtained her licence with Antalyaspor on 18 March 2010 and began playing in the Women's First League in the 2010-11 season. Two seasons later the team dropped to the Second League; it won that division in 2014-15 and went back up for 2015-16. Güvenç wore the captain's armband in 2017-18, moved to Karadeniz Ereğli Belediyespor in October 2018, and returned to 1207 Antalyaspor for the 2020-21 season. The club finished third in the First League in 2024-25.

Her international path opened in the youth ranks. She made her under-17 debut in April 2012 in a UEFA Development Tournament match against Azerbaijan and played 17 times for that side. Her first under-19 appearance, in November 2013, was a friendly against the same opponents, and she went on to play 30 matches in that age group. Her first senior cap came on 8 April 2016 against Germany in a European Championship qualifying group match. Alongside football she studied physical education and sports at Akdeniz University.
