Bahar Çağlar — Biography
Bahar Çağlar Ökten is a retired Turkish international basketball player, born on 28 September 1988 in İzmir. The 1.88 m tall forward announced her retirement from active basketball via social media on 7 August 2023.
Capped nearly 200 times for the Turkish national team, she took part in the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, and won silver at the 2011 European Championship and bronze at the 2013 European Championship. At club level she won the 2013–14 EuroLeague Women title with Galatasaray and claimed two EuroCup championships, with Galatasaray and with Near East University.
Away from the court, she married lawyer Emin Ökten on 29 August 2020, and said after retiring that she did not intend to leave basketball behind entirely.
