Azize Erdoğan — Biography

Azize Erdoğan is a former Turkish women's footballer who played as an attacking midfielder and was the top scorer of the Women's Second League in 2014-15 with 35 goals. Her path began in Aydın and continued in Istanbul with Kireçburnu Spor and Ataşehir Belediyespor, and she ended her career at the close of the 2016-17 season.

She took out her licence with her hometown club 7 Eylül Gençlik Spor in Aydın on 16 June 2009 and started playing in the Women's Regional League in 2010-11. The team was promoted to the Second League a season later; Erdoğan stayed with the club until the end of 2013-14 and scored 47 goals in 37 games. In August 2014 she joined the Istanbul-based Second League side Kireçburnu Spor. The team finished 2014-15 as runners-up and went up to the First League, while Erdoğan's 35 goals made her the league's top scorer; the next-best scorer had 22.

In the second half of 2016-17 she transferred to Ataşehir Belediyespor, finished third in the First League with the team, and retired at the end of the season. For the national team she made her U-19 debut against Slovakia in the Kuban Spring Tournament on 6 March 2013 and also played in Group 4 and Elite round matches of the qualifying competition for the 2015 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship.
