Aytaç Doğan — Biography

Aytaç Doğan (born January 6, 1976, in Bursa) is a Turkish kanun player, regarded as one of Turkey's most important kanun virtuosos.

He began playing at the age of thirteen on an instrument given to him by his grandfather, and at fourteen he shared the stage with İbrahim Tatlıses. In the following years he collaborated with numerous artists. By developing his own distinctive use of the instrument's tuning-lever system, he created a unique playing style.

His first solo album was released in 2013, followed in 2018 by a second album featuring thirteen pieces. In 2026 he formed a musical partnership with Mareechi Asu and began reaching international audiences.
