Aylin Yaren — Biography

Aylin Yaren is a Berlin-born Turkish-German midfielder who is also known for her freestyle football shows. She has played club football in both Germany and Turkey and has been part of the Turkey women's national team; today she plays for Delay Sports Berlin in Berlin.

Growing up in Berlin, Yaren started out at BFC Meteor 06. In 2009 she played for LdB Malmö in Sweden's Damallsvenskan, joined TeBe Berlin on her return to Germany, and moved from 1. FC Lübars to Hamburger SV at the start of 2012, scoring the opening goal on her debut against Turbine Potsdam. In February 2016 she came to Turkey to play for Trabzon İdmanocağı, and in 2016-17 she was back in Germany with Arminia Bielefeld in the 2. Bundesliga Nord. She made her debut for the Turkey national team in a friendly against Macedonia on 22 January 2006, and also played for the German youth national team and Turkey's under-17 and under-19 sides. In a 2011 interview she said that for years she had deliberately stayed out of Turkey's qualifiers to keep the option of playing for Germany open; when the German coach did not call her up, she played for Turkey in European Championship qualifying in 2015 and committed herself to the Turkish federation long term.

She has also appeared on television with her freestyle skills: in 2007 she beat Franck Ribéry 4-3 on ZDF's Torwandschießen, took part in Yetenek Sizsiniz Türkiye from 2010 to 2012, and in Das Supertalent in 2019. She performed in the roadshow for the 2010 U-20 Women's World Cup and gave 50 to 60 shows around the 2011 World Cup.
