Aydın Tohumcu — Biography
Aydın Tohumcu (1 February 1943, Bilecik – 9 November 2003, Mersin) was a Turkish international footballer and manager who played as a goalkeeper. His fourteen years at MKE Ankaragücü tied his name closely to the club, and both Ankaragücü and Mersin İdman Yurdu count him among the legends of their history. He died of a heart attack on 9 November 2003 in Mersin, where he had travelled to sign a contract to manage Mersin İdman Yurdu. At the next league match played at Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadium, a minute of silence was observed in his memory.
