Aydın Tohumcu — Biography
Aydın Tohumcu (1 February 1943, Bilecik – 9 November 2003, Mersin) was a Turkish international goalkeeper who later became a football manager.
He spent fourteen years of his playing career at MKE Ankaragücü, a long tenure that tied his name permanently to the club, and both Ankaragücü and Mersin İdman Yurdu, where he also played, list him among their historic figures. On 9 November 2003 he travelled to Mersin to sign a contract to manage Mersin İdman Yurdu and died there of a heart attack. In tribute, a minute of silence was observed at the following league match played at Ankara's 19 Mayıs Stadium.
