Atilla Arcan — Biography
Atilla Arcan, real name Ali Atila Gürses (21 September 1945, Istanbul - 16 November 2015, Istanbul), was a Turkish actor and comedian. He was the son of director and screenwriter Muharrem Gürses.
Alongside his theatre and film work, he became widely known from 1994 for the television parody show "Binbir Surat", in which he impersonated well-known figures such as the politicians Turgut Özal and Süleyman Demirel. He appeared in numerous films, stage plays and TV series, including the 1966 film Battal Gazi.
He was married to actress Gül Arcan from 1984. He died on 16 November 2015 following heart surgery and was buried in the Küçükyalı cemetery in Istanbul.
