Atacan Öztürk — Biography

Atacan Öztürk is a retired goalkeeper from Antalya who kept goal for a string of clubs and now works as goalkeeping coach at Erzurumspor. He represented Turkey 43 times at youth levels.

He came through Antalyaspor's youth system, turned professional in 2000-01 and made his Süper Lig debut on 26 May 2001 against İstanbulspor, but was not the club's first choice for two years. Looking for more playing time, he moved to Elazığspor in 2003-04. In his first season he was third-choice behind Miroslav König and Orkun Uşak; when the team was relegated König left, and behind the new signing Oğuzhan Bahadır he made only five appearances. When Elazığspor declined to extend Oğuzhan Bahadır's contract at the end of 2005-06, Öztürk became first choice. He stayed at Elazığspor for four seasons.

He joined Boluspor at the start of 2007-08 and renewed his contract there in 2010. In 2012-13 he transferred to First League side Şanlıurfaspor and later played for Alanyaspor and Göztepe. After finishing as a player he moved into goalkeeping coaching.
