Aslı Gökyokuş — Biography

Aslı Gökyokuş was born in Istanbul on October 26, 1977, and traces her family roots to Sivas. She is a prominent figure in Turkish rock music, working not only as a singer but also as a composer and songwriter. She has described her project as functioning more like a band than a solo act, since she has worked with the same team for many years.

In 2021 she released the single "Yanmaya Hazırım," drawing attention to Turkish-language rock, and the same year she covered Ajda Pekkan's song "O Benim Dünyam." She put out a new single in 2023 and has become known throughout her career for her outspoken views on social issues.
