Alper Mestçi — Biography

Alper Mestçi was born in Istanbul in 1969. He began working in television in 1995, taking on editing and copywriting roles at various channels before entering the film industry as a producer; he made his directorial debut in 2007 with the horror film "Musallat."

After films such as "Kanal-İ-Zasyon," "Musallat 2: Lanet," and "Sabit Kanca," Mestçi became one of the best-known names in Turkish horror cinema as the writer-director of the "Siccin" series. The franchise's ninth installment, "Siccin 9," was released in 2026, continuing his prolific career as an author, screenwriter, and director; he married Gülhan Şen in 2017.
