Alper Baytekin — Biography

Alper Baytekin is a Turkish actor born on August 8, 1988, in Bursa. He completed his acting training in the Acting Program of the Theater Department at Ankara University's Faculty of Language, History, and Geography, and began his career in television series after graduating.

He had his first on-screen experience in the 2009 series Deniz Yıldızı, which also featured Hakan Salınmış, Ali Barkın, Ceyda Tepeliler, and Deniz Durmaz; following this project, in 2011 he shared the cast of Hayata Beş Kala with Nilay Deniz, Haluk Cömert, and Şeyma Korkmaz.

From 2014 onward he also turned to cinema. He made his big-screen debut in Oflu Hoca'nın Şifresi, directed by Adem Kılıç and starring Ahmet Kural and Didem Balçın. In 2015 he appeared in the films Öyle yada Böyle and Sol Şerit, the latter alongside Deniz Baysal; in 2016 he appeared in Çakallarla Dans, directed by Murat Şeker and featuring İlker Ayrık, Şevket Çoruh, Gürkan Uygun, Timur Acar, and Tuba Ünsal.

During the same period he also continued his television work: in 2016 he appeared in Buyur Bide Burdan Bak and in Hangimiz Sevmedik, whose cast also included Can Yaman and Cengiz Bozkurt, and in 2017 in Seven Ne Yapmaz, featuring Aslıhan Malbora, Yusuf Çim, and Seren Şirince. The work that brought him the most recognition was the 2018 series Muhteşem İkili, broadcast on Kanal D, in which he played the character Saffet alongside Kerem Bürsin and Eren Hacısalihoğlu.

In his private life, Baytekin married Selin Karpuzoğlu, and the wedding was also reported in the local press of his hometown, Bursa.
