Alparslan Erdem — Biography
Alparslan Erdem (born 11 December 1988 in Vechta, Lower Saxony) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a left back and later became a coach. Raised in Germany, he holds both Turkish and German citizenship.
During his playing career he appeared for Werder Bremen II, Galatasaray, Gençlerbirliği, Kayserispor, Bucaspor and İstanbul Başakşehir, winning the Turkish Super Cup with Galatasaray in 2008. He was also capped by Turkey at under-21 and A2 level.
After retiring he moved into coaching and managed KF Shkupi in the Macedonian First Football League. In July 2026 he returned to Galatasaray as head coach of the club's under-19 team.
