Ali Gencay — Biography
Ali Gençay (2 February 1905, Istanbul – 28 March 1957, Istanbul) was a Turkish footballer who played as a defender. A product of Galatasaray's own ranks, he spent his career with the Istanbul club.
He was part of the Galatasaray side that dominated Turkish football in the 1920s, winning five of the eight Istanbul championships contested in that decade. He also represented Turkey at the 1924 Summer Olympics.
