Adnan Sezgin — Biography

Adnan Sezgin, born on 28 January 1954 in Malatya, is a retired Turkish footballer, businessman, and football administrator. A defender during his playing days, he represented clubs including Adana Demirspor, Ankaragücü, and San Jose Earthquakes in the United States, and later graduated from Ankara University's Faculty of Political Science.

After his playing career, Sezgin moved into football administration, holding management and press-relations roles at Galatasaray at various points, serving as the first president of the Professional Footballers' Association, and later taking on the role of general coordinator at Samsunspor. In 2022 he was elected president of the Turkey-Hungary Business Council (DEİK), a role for which Hungary honored him in 2024.
