Adem Bona — Biography
Adem Bona — born Ikechukwu Stanley Okoro on March 28, 2003, in Lagos, Nigeria — is a 2.08-meter center who holds dual Nigerian and Turkish citizenship. He was discovered by İstanbul Basket and moved to Turkey at age 13, developing further in Karşıyaka's youth system.
He finished high school in the United States, where he was named a McDonald's All-American, then played college basketball for UCLA from 2022 to 2024, earning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honors. Philadelphia 76ers selected him in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft, and he has remained on the team's roster since.
Bona also suits up for the Turkish national team and was part of the squad that won silver at EuroBasket 2025. Through the 2025-26 NBA season he continued to see regular minutes in Philadelphia's defensive rotation.
