Abdullah Çevrim — Biography
Born on 20 July 1941 in Kırıkhan, Hatay, Abdullah Çevrim took up football at Kuleli Military High School and began his senior career at Harbiye SK before joining Gençlerbirliği, where he scored 41 goals in 138 matches between 1961 and 1966.
He moved to Fenerbahçe in 1966 and spent four seasons there, netting 23 goals in 106 appearances, winning the 1967-68 and 1969-70 league titles as well as the 1966-67 Balkan Cup, and earning six caps for the Turkish national team. Çevrim then joined MKE Ankaragücü in 1970, winning the Turkish Cup with them in the 1971-72 season, before closing out his playing career at Gaziantepspor.
After retiring from football he worked as a sports journalist. Abdullah Çevrim died of a heart attack in Fethiye, Muğla, on 19 February 2019.
