Abdi Algül — Biography
Born Aptül Algür in Kütahya in 1933, the actor became known in Turkish cinema under the stage name Abdi Algül, or by his nickname "Arap Abdi". From the early 1970s he became one of the busiest character actors of the Yeşilçam era, appearing in dozens of adventure, comedy and drama productions, including many of Kemal Sunal's popular comedies.
Over a career that spanned more than 180 films and television productions, Algül is perhaps best remembered for his role in the 1983 film "Tokatçı", alongside numerous supporting parts in Kemal Sunal-led comedies.
